| christmas LOL'ing |
[Monday
December 18th, 2006] |
1. i have been embarrassingly neglectful of my christmas calendar this year. i just caught up on chocolates Dec 8th through 18th. unghhhh they have a strange aftertaste, especially when consumed en masse.
2. wednesday, december 13th: i send out 5 christmas cards to my extended family back home. monday, december 18th: i receive 5 christmas cards from my extended family back home. (i have a feeling it was one of those "oh shit!!!" last minute sendings - you know?) but s'cool.
3. hahaaaa vancouver, looking gooood for the coming week ; )

attention: new favourite hobby!
listening to broken social scene's self titled album starting with 7/4 shoreline and going to the end while drinking apple juice from the dollar store straight from the carton and washing dishes.

sometimes i like to thing about progressions. like, how funny is it that we took "oh my god" and turned it into "omg" and then it morphed into "omgz" and "zomg" and i'm predicting the next thing will be the "zomgz" sandwich. well, maybe not for certain.
another thing i like to think about is michael jackson. and his life progressions. the child star to teen icon to child whateverer, not to mention the plastic surgery comedy of errors. and neverland ranch! and the child-dangling! and elvis' daughter! wow!
oh and the olsen twins! how great is it that they grew up in the spotlight, completely, so like every stage of their life is completely documented? and how they sort of laid low for a while but then emerged as these emaciated hippie/homeless-dressing starbucks-addicted teen fashion icons with drug problems and 30-year-old hotelier boyfriends?
how great is that? how fun is it having a hingsight perspective on the entirety of something and being able to appreciate the sheer humor of the situation?

Q. when is having your apartment broken into a good thing?
A. when your roommate is super brave and faces off against the thief and he drops all the goods and runs, and amongst all your almost-stolen possessions you find an enormous box of chocolate bars that he probs got from his previous gig.

"hey, do you guys know how long it takes to make a hard-boiled egg at this altitude?" "do you want it medium-hard or hard-hard?"
"what's the difference between david boone and davey crockett?"

um, apparently, nothing.

i feel like times new roman is a font i will enjoy using when i'm a grown up. it has many redeeming qualities, but right now i just prefer courier new.
ps: i formatted my hard drive and it feels so good. i feel like i went for an hour long run on a chilly weekday morning. yeah, that's how good it feels.

She said it was all make-believe, but I thought you said maple leaves. And when she talked about the fall, I thought she talked about the season. I never understood at all.

am i the only one who organizes their itunes obsessively as a procrastination tool? moving here and trading music collections with everyone in my apartment has exponentially increased the "problem".
i now have 7220 songs, or 34.78 GB, or 20 days straight of music. i shall never be in silence again.
